The investigating chamber of the Dijon Court of Appeal on Wednesday requested new DNA comparisons as well as a feasibility study of vocal expertise of the crow’s recordings.

Justice has ordered, at the request of the parents, that new assessments be carried out in the case of little Grégory, franceinfo learned on Thursday March 21 from a source close to the case, confirming information from RTL. The investigating chamber of the Dijon Court of Appeal on Wednesday requested new DNA comparisons as well as a feasibility study of vocal expertise of the crow’s recordings.

In its decision, the investigating chamber requests in particular comparisons of the DNA found on the cords which were on the child’s body, on Grégory’s anorak, his chin, but also on certain letters from the crow including that of October 16, 1984, the day of his death. These comparisons will be made with the DNA of several people in the family.

His parents want to “get to the truth”

A decision that satisfied Grégory’s parents, Christine and Jean-Marie Villemin. According to Marie-Christine Chastant-Morand, lawyer for Grégory’s parents, her clients are only seeking to shed light on this affair. According to her, they want “justice uses all possible means to achieve this truth, to try to achieve it”.

Concerning vocal expertise, “the parents have considered carrying out investigations into vocal audiometry based on the raven’s recordings, currently under seal. Grégory was found dead of asphyxiation in Vologne on October 16, 1984.
