Since the death of Mahsa Amini, more than 100 people have been charged in Iran, said the Iranian justice12 October. Thus, the Judicial Authority has announcement “the indictment of 60 people” in Tehran and 65 others in the province of Hormozgan, in the south of the country, arrested during the “recent riots”without specifying the charges.

A protest movement has shaken Iran since the death on September 16 of this 22-year-old Iranian Kurd, three days after her arrest in Tehran by the morality police. She accused him of having violated the dress code of the Islamic Republic, in particular the wearing of the veil. Authorities described the protests as“riots” and hundreds of people were arrested.

According to the NGO Iran Human Rights, at least 108 people were killed in the repression of these demonstrations. Iranian security forces also killed at least 93 other people in separate clashes in Zahedan, during demonstrations to protest the alleged rape of a young girl by a policeman.
