TO Marseille, justice was seized for suspicion of clinical trials illegal. These tests would have been carried out outside the legal framework. The case started with a report from the drug agency. They would have taken place within theIHU of Marseille led by Professor Raoult.
THE’IHU from Marseille and its director Professor Didier Raoult are at the heart of a new scandal. The site Mediapart denounces a savage experiment with patients with resistant tuberculosis. They were reportedly treated with a cocktail of drugs, one of which was said to have been severely toxic to the kidney. According to an anonymous caregiver, two patients were admitted to the emergency room with kidney complications. The latter are said to be of Romanian nationality and would not dare to lodge a complaint.
The medical trials would have unrolled from 2017 to March 2020 outside from any legal framework and without the necessary authorization from the drug agency. In a video posted by him, Didier Raoult has denied outright all the accusations against him. “It’s just a big lie, it’s not true”. The public assistance of Marseille hospitals has decided to launch an internal investigation.
