Coco Belliveau broke the ice at Just for Laughs early Thursday evening, as the festival got underway with Nuits d’Afrique and Zoofest overlapping.
The comedian opened the festival’s outdoor programming on the Loto-Québec stage, at suppertime, with his comedy evening, Coco Belliveau’s line-up, presented at the foot of the steps of Place des Arts. The place was also packed with festival-goers of all ages.
If the New Brunswicker had a little trouble getting the machine going, the public for their part remained attentive and laughing throughout the one-hour presentation, which turned out to be very pleasant.
The “fine pitch” of Big Brother Celebrities called on Anne-Sarah Charbonneau, who recently hosted The Womansplaining Show at Zoofest, Colin Boudrias, Josiane Aubuchon and Liliane Blanco-Binette, with whom she cohabited in Big Brother’s house.

Each guest also obtained a precious stone according to their astrological sign, offered by the host, who recently discovered a passion for lithology.
Josiane, Capricorn, was the strongest with her number on Disney, in which she explains why this place should only be frequented by adults and children kings. She received an obsidian.
Describing herself as ‘a curvaceous beautiful baby’, she also backed a theory to explain the labor shortage. “If Béatrice is fattened on oysters all her life, she won’t want to go to work at the IGA for minimum wage. Every evening, at 6 p.m., the Loto-Québec stage will host the line up of a comedian who has chosen to share his stage with favorite, favorite or recently discovered comedians. Mélanie Couture, Pascal Cameron, Michelle Desrochers, Eddy King and Alexandre Forest are also part of the lot.
