The town of Moirans-en-Montagne is celebrating this Saturday evening. The Jura Sud football club qualified for the round of 16 of the Coupe de France on the lawn of its municipal stadium on Saturday. The Jurassians beat 5 goals to 2, the Reunion team of St-Denis in the 32nd final. Striker Mbuyi shone by scoring a brace (9 ‘, 34’). Jura Sud is the last Franc-Comtoise team qualified in the Coupe de France since FC Sochaux lost on penalties against FC Nantes.
A president proud of his players
Edmond Perrier, the club president, said he was very satisfied with the match made by his team even if everything was not rosy. “In the first half, we were a little roughed up, but on two occasions, we managed to fold the match. But we must admit that we had a lot of chances. St-Denis deserved better”. The match was also facilitated by a missed penalty on the part of the Reunionese.

The players are also very happy because the match was quite tough, especially because of the land at the limit of the practicable. “The weather conditions didn’t help us, but we held on and the victory ended up smiling on us”, admits Abdou, central defender of the team.
