Food giants are increasingly attracting children to junk food. Marketing plays an important role, denounces the Foodwatch association.

In certain advertisements for biscuits, yogurts or cereals that appear on television or on social networks, children are the targets of manufacturers. The products are very attractive for young people. “The drawings are so pretty”, remarks a young girl. Children are therefore influenced by advertisements. “I myself was a child and sensitive to marketing”specifies a mother.

Marketing recipes denounced

The marketing recipes are often the same. These are often cartoon characters, or competitions, which are used in advertisements. The practice is denounced by the association Foodwach, which also denounces advertisements where singers promote sugary drinks. The association considers marketing bad for society. “These are products that are too gflushtoo sweet, too salty. (…) VSThis leads to eating habits that are bad for children’s health.explains Audrey Morice.
