Exciting New Season of Jungle Camp Begins
This Friday evening marks the thrilling return of the jungle camp as hosts Sonja Zietlow, 56, and Jan Köppen, 41, introduce us to the latest batch of contestants. The dynamic duo seems to have developed distinct favorites already. While Zietlow aims to maintain an unbiased perspective and truly get to know the participants as they reveal themselves in the camp, she admits that she has already formed some opinions, both favorable and unfavorable.
Meet the New Jungle Residents
Before the contestants can settle in, RTL has created buzz by unveiling the first six stars who have been evicted from their luxurious hotel rooms just two days ahead of the show’s kickoff. The lineup includes celebrity daughter Alessia Herren, 23, musician Edith Stehfest, 29, pop singer Anna-Carina Woitschack, 32, sports commentator Jörg Dahlmann, 66, along with reality stars Sam Dylan, 33, and Maurice Dziwak, 26, who are all set to experience their first taste of jungle life.
The following day, more familiar faces joined the fray, such as ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ champion Yeliz Koc, 31, former GZSZ star Nina Bott, 47, model Lilly Becker, 48, actors Pierre Sanoussi-Bliss, 62, and Timur Ülker, 35, in addition to decathlon legend Jürgen Hingsen, 66. As dawn broke, these jungle adventurers were thrust into their challenging surroundings.
However, the contestants faced more than just hard beds, snakes, and scant rations—they were also greeted by harsh weather conditions that forced an evacuation for their safety. After a short break, the weather has since calmed, allowing the challenges to finally commence!
Returning to the hosts’ favorites, both Zietlow and Köppen have a keen eye on Lilly Becker, 48, who they believe might quickly become exasperated. Köppen mentioned in an RTL interview that she is candid about her feelings, which could earn her respect among the other contestants.
Zietlow is particularly drawn to candidates with rich life experiences or established careers. She expressed interest in Timur Ülker, 35, a former soldier turned actor, noting that he has a wealth of stories to share.
Despite her efforts to remain impartial, Zietlow openly admits her admiration for Anna-Carina Woitschack, 32, calling her a “remarkable candidate” due to her relatable nature. “She is a young woman who hasn’t been featured in every reality show, and I believe she possesses a strong determination,” Zietlow added.
While Jan Köppen has chosen to keep his favorites a secret, jungle doctor Dr. Bob has made his preferences known. He firmly believes that Maurice Dziwak, 26, stands a good chance to win among the men, largely due to his decision to bring his mother as a companion, which Dr. Bob feels speaks volumes about his character.
On the women’s side, Dr. Bob aligns with Zietlow’s choice, declaring Anna-Carina as his top pick. He describes her as someone who is always cheerful and well-prepared for reality shows, suggesting that she is determined to secure the crown, much like a poised predator ready to strike.
