Julien Navas welcomes us to his Parisian workshop. In the basement of his building, hidden behind a heavy armoured iron door, this father has stored part of his collections. The former chemical engineer owns thousands of objects, which he mostly buys on the Internet (on online sales sites or at auctions). His collection is rich in many unusual pieces: sometimes anecdotal, often precious, like a piece of the Space X rocket. A quest that he also pursues on the Parisian sidewalks. Among the rubbish bins, he has already made some incredible discoveries.
The Quest invites you to hear the story of this history and fantastic objects enthusiast. His life is like an adventure novel…
Why this obsession? How does he acquire his objects? What are the most beautiful pieces?
The Quest by Julien Navas. Author: Lionel Feuerstein. Sound recording and production: Thierry Mongellaz
