Julien Lassalle candidate in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques in place of his brother

Julien Lassalle is officially a candidate to succeed his brother Jean. The outgoing Béarnais deputy not representing himself, his younger brother has decided to replace him and run for the fourth constituency of Pyrénées-Atlantiques. He formalized his candidacy this Monday, May 9 from Oloron-Sainte-Marie.

Return to politics

The former shepherd of Lourdios-Ichère, like his brother, will therefore try to keep the Basque-Béarnaise constituency in the Lassalle clan. He does not hide it, the example of his eldest Jean largely influenced this decision: “I remained a shepherd for forty years, I spent my life next to someone who was involved in politics, I observed and I saw the setbacks and also the good sides”.

It’s not not a first attempt in politics for Julien Lassalle since he had presented himself in the last regional elections under the label “Let’s Resist”, the party of Jean Lassalle. He had obtained nearly 14% of the votes in the department. Julien Lassalle indicated, under his priorities, that he was going “fight against the opening up of rural areas, whether by road, rail, IT or medical”.
