Julien Lacroix attempts another return to the stage

Julien Lacroix will attempt another return to the stage in Montreal on December 21 and 22, five months after canceling the show he wanted to present in July 2022.

The concept is the same, namely the recording of a “Q & A humor and confessions” podcast. “One of the things the past few years have taught me is that in-person discussions are always more rewarding than through social media,” he wrote on the event page.

An invitation was sent to people who had bought tickets for last summer’s show, which was canceled because it had received threats. “I regret that I had to cancel due to circumstances beyond my control,” he wrote.

The comedian, who was targeted in July 2020 by allegations of sexual misconduct, specifies that he wants to give these two performances in complete secrecy.

Julien Lacroix will perform in front of a limited audience of around thirty people per evening, in a bar in the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve district, but the precise location will only be communicated to ticket holders 24 hours in advance.

“I really look forward to seeing you. I haven’t spoken in front of people since March 12, 2020. I’m really nervous, but excited to talk to you guys. Thanks to everyone who supported me. »
