Julien Cohen of “Case concluded” at the heart of a huge controversy over nursing homes!

He does not have his tongue in his pocket and once again proved it on Wednesday July 19, 2023. Indeed, the ex-acolyte of Sophie Davant in Deal Concluded, Julien Cohenpushed a rant against the establishments of accommodation for dependent elderly people (Ehpad) and more particularly against the people who place their parents in these health establishments.

The ex-purchaser of the program of France 2who bowed out to embark on a new project, believes that people who “leave their parents at the nursing home” don’t have “nothing in the brain”. “You should take them with you, at your place or near your place, so that they have more visits, more interactions, more sociability…”he cursed, acknowledging despite everything that it could sometimes “to be very hard”. “I don’t understand, we have everything today to make life easier for each other, so let’s take care of our elders…”he finally let go, still with as much vehemence, before asking the children to offer “a beautiful ending”to their parents : “They are living libraries, they represent our past, our history and they are our parents, damn it!”

Julien Cohen skids and makes a point

Following this rant, the one who was taken to task by the teams ofDeal done obviously divided opinion. Indeed, after many criticisms of him, the ex-acolyte of Sophie Davant wanted to make an update after his statement. On his Instagram account, he published a new video this Friday, July 21 to make his mea culpa… or almost.

“I realize, in view of the comments left by some, that you watched the video but that you omitted certain sentences and did not read the very small intro text which said ‘except in cases of force majeure’, like someone who has Alzheimer’s in your home, it is obvious that we cannot keep him at home, it’s very very hard “he specified at first before adding: “It is also obvious that when you have a painful past and parents have rejected you, it would be very strange for you to take care of it… But I am not a psychiatrist”.

At the end of the video, Julien Cohen clarified his intention, in his previous rant, to target all those who “have a lot of resources”. “Listen carefully, when you have a lot of means, I find it deplorable to send your parents to an EHPAD”he finally concluded in an attempt to “easing” the tensions.
