“This relentlessness against me is disloyal and scandalous”wrote Julien Bayou in his resignation email from the party and the environmentalist parliamentary group that franceinfo was able to consult on Tuesday April 2.
The former national secretary of EELV sent this resignation email to Cyrielle Chatelain, leader of the EELV group in the Assembly, and Marine Tondelier, president of the party, after she announced the organization of an investigation external on the “behavior and comments” of the MP, Monday evening. Julien Bayou claims to be “at the end”, “exhausted” by what he experiences as “harassment and unbearable psychological pressure” within the EELV party.
Julien Bayou threatens prosecution
“Investigations targeting me, whether internal or external, must stop immediately” because he is no longer a member of the party, he asserts, threatening the party as well as its “representatives in their personal name” prosecution otherwise. He qualifies as “unhealthy game” or “a pure and simple call for denunciation” the fact that an email was going to be sent to all members who wished to report behavior or comments “contrary to party principles” of the deputy of Paris. He also accuses the management of EELV of “cover up and play the good part” by making him “the ideal scapegoat for the moral turpitudes of this party”.
The Paris MP had been in withdrawal since a complaint from his ex-partner who accused him of “psychological violence” at the beginning of March.
