Julian Lennon performs Imagine for the first time





Singer-songwriter Julian Lennon, son of the legendary John Lennon, publishes this Wednesday his version of the essential song Conceived.

Available on all online listening platforms, the performance also features the guitarist of the group Extreme, Nuno Bettencourt.

During the “Stand Up For Ukraine” event on April 8, hundreds of thousands of citizens around the world mobilized to collect donations for Ukrainian refugees. It was also the very first time that Julian Lennon sang his father’s song publicly – he planned to perform this song only when it would be “the end of the world”, he confided on social networks.

A portion of the proceeds from the purchase of the song will be donated to aiding Ukrainian refugees through Lennon’s nonprofit, The White Feather Foundation.

A short text in solidarity with the Ukrainian people also accompanies the music video:

The war against Ukraine is an unimaginable tragedy… As a human being and as an artist, I felt compelled to respond in the most meaningful way possible. So today, for the very first time, I publicly performed my dad’s song, IMAGINE. The song reflects the light at the end of the tunnel, which we all hope for…
