Julia Piaton in a crop top facing Frédérique Bel sublime in a slit dress at the Cabourg Festival

The 36th edition of the Cabourg Film Festival is in full swing! Friday, June 17, we saw the stars again on the red carpet as the heat wave swept across the country. This day was marked by the first awards evening for short films and young talents. As reported West Francethe photo call took place to the sound of music from the film A man and a womanin tribute to Jean-Louis Trintignant, who died a few hours earlier.

On the red carpet, we were able to see a slew of stars such as actress Julia Piaton – currently in theaters, in a mini role, in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness – dressed all in black and showing her flat stomach in a cropped top while she was wearing pants and a jacket. Black was also the choice of her colleague Frédérique Bel, who recently starred in the good god 3, which had for its part opted for a dress split on one leg. Other followers of black on the look side: Sandrine Kiberlain, Rebecca Marder, Alice David or even Jeanne Cherhal… Ditto for men, Benjamin Biolay or Lucas Bravo also posing dressed in a dark suit jacket.

This first award ceremony crowned Lucie Zhang (The Olympiads), who received the prize for the First Women’s Rendez-vous from the Swann committee. Two male prizes were awarded to Aliocha Reinert (Small type) and Mael Rouin-Berrandou (My brothers and me). The Short Films jury chaired by Samuel Theis and Claire Burger awarded him the prizes for best actor and best actress in a short film to Andranic Manet and Clara Antoons (for The slight deviation of the atoms). As for director Alice Douard (Waiting) she closed this ceremony with the prize for the best short film.

This Saturday, June 18, a new red carpet will be organized for the closing night of the festival, with the grand jury prize. A jury led by Diane Kurys surrounded by actress Astrid Berges Frisbey, actor Lucas Bravo, screenwriter Michel Fessler, actor Stéphane De Groodt, director Sébastien Lifshitz (godfather of the youth jury), designer Alexandre Mattiusi , actress Julia Piaton, director Atiq Rahimi, actress-director novelist Sylvie Testud and actress Anamaria Vartolomei.
