It was around 4 a.m. that the judicial reconstruction began at the exact scene of the tragedy. The gestures and behaviors of the protagonists were repeated. More than 12 years after the fact. the objective is to find the most precise conditions to get closer to reality. The two men indicted for rape and violence in meetings, were extracted from their cells in order to participate in the operations, alongside the lawyers, the investigating judge in charge of the case and Amandine Boyer, deputy public prosecutor of the Republic of Bayonne. Only the victim was absent, unable to bear such an ordeal. His lawyer was there to defend his interests.
DNA queen of evidence
On October 3, 2099, in the middle of the night, this woman in her forties at the time, was raped and left for dead after being beaten up. Years later the alleged perpetrators were found through DNA. In March 2021, the prosecution had organized a press conference to tell how the investigators of the judicial police were able to carry out this unusual case.
At the time, several hearings had been organized by the investigators. But no arrests made. The scenario of the drama had been quickly brought to light. The victim had been turned away from the nightclub by security guards using tear gas. Two individuals then took advantage of her vulnerability to drag her to an isolated corner on the banks of the Nive, before raping her and beating her violently. It was a municipal agent who had rescued him. No less than a dozen fractures had been discovered by doctors from Bayonne Hospital. Since then she has suffered after-effects.
