Thursday June 2 marks the first day of celebrations for the Queen’s Jubilee. The 70 years of reign of the monarch are celebrated with great fanfare in London, UK.

A planetary event, this is how the platinum jubilee of Elizabeth II can be summed up. When the Queen appeared on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, the crowd cheered with one voice in celebration of the monarch. Surrounded by her son, Prince Charles, the smiling sovereign wanted to experience the communion transmitted by the English for this particular anniversary. For the occasion, several parades were organized like that of the Royal Air Force under the amazed eyes of Louis, the son of the Prince of Wales.

“It’s amazing to see her like this so close on this balcony, she seems so happy”marvels a spectator. Like this Briton, an entire people has come together to celebrate their Queen. It’s very moving to see her in person (…), I think it’s a very beautiful celebration of her life “smiled another Englishwoman. The festivities began on the morning of Thursday June 2 with the parade of the royal guard. No longer able to ride a horse, the queen left her son Charles to review the troops.
