Juan Carlos I of Spain accused of harassment: this false identity he used to contact his mistress…

The secrets of stories are not reserved only for Stéphane Bern. The Spanish royal family will soon be at the heart of an investigative podcast produced by journalist Bradley Hope, divided into several episodes, entitled Corinna and the King, which will therefore return to the relationship that King Juan Carlos I maintained for five years with his former mistress Corinna zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn. In these vocal sequences, we will learn, therefore, as the newspaper notes The Timesthat the Iberian ruler is “one of the greatest seducers in the world of royaltyé”. This promises tasty revelations.

Danish businesswoman, former wife of Prince Casimir zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn, Corinna agreed to lend her voice to the podcast and bring her version of the facts. According to her, her relationship with King Juan Carlos I would have started in 2004. He would have been seduced by her behavior, during a dinner organized at the Duke of Westminster’s in the south of Spain, since she would have broken the protocol rising from the table before the king had finished his plate. He then allegedly seduced her by sending her flowers and letters daily and calling her ten times a day, using a false identity.

He did not sign his missives Juan Carlos… but Mr Sumer, a learned shorthand for “Su Majestad el Rey“, that’s to say “his majesty the king“. A bit insistent, he had however been able to touch the sensitive chord of Corinna zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn who found the situation amusing although persistent and a little “unbalanced“. She would have ended up taking a liking to it and would have considered her lover as a true husband… a “heart husband“, in any case, the relationship not being official on paper.

the podcast Corinna and the King will return to the beginnings of this extra-marital relationship and the way in which it pushed King Juan Carlos I of Spain to abdicate in 2014. Some episodes will also address the substantial sum he had paid to his mistress, being suspected in passing money laundering. The podcast’s release, scheduled for next week, oddly coincides with Corinna’s current lawsuit against her former partner, as she now accuses him of harassment and unlawful surveillance.
