Josiane Balasko: Who is Rudy, her “beautiful as everything” son?

In the family, we know many members … starting with Marilou Berry, who took over from her famous mother on television and in the cinema. But Josiane Balasko is not the mother of just one and only child. She also has a big boy, named Rudy, born in 1988, whom she adopted at the DDASS with his former and late companion, the sculptor Philippe Berry. Evolving away from cameras and film sets, the young man is the pride of the whole family in his own professional way.

Rudy Berry is not an actor, director or producer. He is a sports coach. When he reached his thirties, the young man also returned to live with his mother and her husband, George Aguilar – whom she married in 2003. At the end of 2021, Josiane Balasko actually revealed that his son was always at home“, in the pages of the magazine Gala…as she earlier referred to him being independent and dropping by to see her”from time to time“.

I no longer had the energy to pamper

Temporary or not, this roommate must delight Josiane Balasko. It’s very simple, the first time she laid eyes on Rudy, the actress immediately felt that she would love him forever. At the time, I was 38 or 40 years old, she said on the show The sofa in March 2015. I no longer had the energy to babysit. I had done it with Marilou and so I was not lacking in ‘pampering’. In the papers we filled out, we ticked the boxes to adopt a child up to the age of 2, who could have a slight disability and of all skin colors combined. And when they told me that they had found a little boy who had no handicap, who was three years old and who was in Paris, we went to see him.

On April 15, 2022, Josiane Balasko celebrates her 71st birthday. She became a grandmother of a little Andy in 2018, her daughter Marilou Berry having had a boy with her companion Alexis. As for Rudy, mystery. The sports coach, whom Josiane Balasko cheerfully describes as being “beautiful as anything”, has apparently not yet passed on its delicate features to the next generation. Unless he managed it with the utmost discretion, like the rest of his private garden…
