Who remembers Jordy? The former baby-star of the 1990s thanks to this flagship title Very hard to be a baby released in 1992. A hit that people under 30 cannot know. Aged only 4 and a half at the time, this title made Jordy (real name Jordy Lemoine), not only a star but one of the wealthiest personalities despite his young age. Indeed, according to our colleagues from Here is Jordy pocketed thanks to his titles, the colossal sum of 10 million euros in turnover.
Jordy’s father referred to as “king of mind control” by his son
In 2006, Jordy published an autobiography titled I am no longer a baby (Scali editions) in which he returned to the management of his fortune. He notably accused his father Claude Lemoine, whom he described as “king of mind control” and of “contagious paranoid” of squandering his earnings. According to the young man, his father “lied for years like a coward gently lies to his victim.”
Jordy was supposed to collect “huge royalties” since he would be of age but when he surfaced at the Caisse des dépôts et consignations, he has no trace of it. It is then the cold shower for the ex-child-star. In a newspaper interview The Parisian in 2006, Claude Lemoine, then unemployed and ruined, defended himself by pointing the finger at Jordy’s mother with whom he was separated: “Jordy is the victim of a manipulation aimed at whitewashing his mother in financial rout. I recognize in the book the words and expressions of my ex-wife (…) My ex-wife, with whom I shared all decisions for Jordy, could not ignore the level of his assets (…) Jordy was only 8 years old, and I had invested in the long term with, in project, films and a development of the positive image what my son had, especially in the United States. Everything fell apart overnight. For ten years, I have not had access to his property.”
Finally in 2009, Jordy won the lawsuit against his former house CBS Records for non-payment of royalties. He was granted the sum of 820,000 euros. His financial setbacks behind him, the ex-child-star can devote himself to his family life. In a relationship with Marion, Jordy Lemoine is now the father of two boys: Milo, born in October 2017 and Marceau, born in November 2020.
