Jordan Bardella, the ace up Marine Le Pen’s sleeve

A president of National Rally (RN) who is not called Le Pen, this is a first. Knighted by Marine Le Pen, Jordan Bardella succeeds him at the head of the party. His roadmap: bring the party to power. In Bruay-la-Buissière, in Pas-de-Calais, where the party won 70% of the presidential vote, not everyone has identified the new boss yet: “He says something to me but I couldn’t tell you his name.” But the political line of Jordan Bardella is already challenged internally. Steeve Briois, the RN mayor of Hénin-Beaumont (Pas-de-Calais)ousted from management, judges Jordan Bardella not social enough and too radical: “I foresee a rather rightist line with the union of the rights, which is not very good politically if one wants to gain power.” In any case, Marine Le Pen is aiming for the presidential election and intends to remain in charge. Jordan Bardella therefore has one objective: to elect Marine Le Pen. And for that, he must avoid any new controversy.
