The president of the National Rally Jordan Bardella assures Monday May 15 on France Inter that he “Condemns in the strongest terms the threats and intimidation of which the mayor of Saint-Brévin and all the elected officials of France have been victims, and in particular the local elected officials who are very helpless in the face of this feeling of violence” .

The mayor of Saint-Brevin (Loire-Atlantique) resigned on May 10 after having suffered threats linked to a project to transfer a reception center for asylum seekers. Arson had targeted his home on March 22.

“We are touching here on the authority of the State and therefore on a form of hierarchy and norm in our society” , adds Jordan Bardella. The National Assembly paid tribute to this mayor last week, all political groups stood up except those on the benches of the far-right party . “The subject is not to get up, the subject is to protect elected officials”defends the boss of the RN. “I condemn this violence, and I condemn this violence from all margins, whether it comes from the ultra left or the ultra right”adds Jordan Bardella.
