Long suspected, the transfer of Jonathan Ikoné (23) to Fiorentina is now official. Friday, December 31, his club LOSC confirmed the transfer, through a press release. He will sign his contract in favor of the Florence club on Monday, January 3, at the opening of the transfer window in Italy. The Lille club nevertheless specifies that the player has been authorized to join Italy beforehand to start training under his new colors.

Arrived in the North in 2018 after training for Paris-Saint-Germain and a season in Montpellier, Ikoné will have played the bagatelle of 150 games, scoring 16 goals and delivering 26 assists in all competitions under the Dogues jersey. He won the 2021 French championship title with LOSC.
Fiorentina are currently 7th in Serie A, having ended the 2020-2021 season in a disappointing 14th place.
