This edition of the Grande Boucle ended on Sunday, with the victory in the sprint of the Belgian Jordi Meeus and the second coronation of Jonas Vingegaard.
It’s over. The Tour de France 2023 drew the curtain on Sunday July 23. As expected, Jonas Vingegaard validated his second consecutive coronation, after taking the time to celebrate in the first part of the stage. But when the race got carried away, the spotlight once again fell on his rival Tadej Pogacar, who had already won the day before. The Slovenian did not hesitate to try his luck on the Champs-Elysées, even if he knew that the sprinters would not hear it that way.
At the end, victory went to the Belgian Jordi Meeus, far from being among the favorites at the start of the stage. The Bora-Hansgrohe sprinter beat the cream of the big thighs, beating Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Deceuninck) and Dylan Groenewegen (Jayco Alula), to raise his arms for the very first time on the Grande Boucle.
