Jonak launches a collection of boots with different calf sizes

It’s a problem that affects many more women than you might think… Have you ever had a crush on a gorgeous pair of boots or thigh-high boots but ended up in tears after you couldn’t put them on or close them because the space dedicated to the calves is much too small?

Faced with numerous requests and the distress of certain customers, Jonak has just launched a micro-capsule of boots with different calf sizes! A shoemaker since 1964, the Parisian brand places its customers and its community at the heart of the development of its collections. Thus, it is via social networks but also by questioning its sales ambassadors that Jonak listens to the needs and desires of the market. In recent months, the echo has been more and more present: many women cannot find boots corresponding to their morphology. The search for these winter shoes then became for some a source of frustration more than a pleasure, eventually giving up their quest…

“Today, many women are turning to default boot models: stretch materials, wide cuts or adjustable models because there are few on offer. We were keen to offer feminine models, easy to wear on a daily basis, 100% leather: those that our customers particularly like by adapting them and not by offering other styles.Women should not be deprived of a certain type of model for questions of morphology, it is up to us as what does it mean to take the subject head on” says Lisa Nakam, co-CEO at Jonak.

At the heart of this range called “+fit”: we therefore find the two best-selling models from Jonak, namely the Betina boots available in 2 additional widths and the Bonbon boots, available in 1 additional width. The result of a real work of proportions carried out for several months by the style department in order to obtain models taking up the basic curves while adapting them to different curves of the calf.
