(Montreal) Locked out for 14 months, workers at the Ash Grove cement plant in Joliette have once again rejected the employer’s offers from the employer, Groupe CRH.

At a meeting, they unanimously rejected the employers’ offers for a second time.
The first unanimous rejection of the employer’s offers dates back to last January, says the Unifor union, affiliated with the FTQ, which represents production and office workers.
The employer, CRH Group, locked out the 130 workers on May 22, 2021, now 14 months ago.
Unifor says the employer is asking for concessions on contracting out and more “flexibility” from workers.
The parties are already in conciliation.
