A forty year old found in a ditch in his vehicle in Joliettein Lanaudière, finally succumbed to his injuries on the night of Sunday to Monday.
It was a passerby who alerted the police around 10:20 a.m. to a vehicle stuck in a ditch on Route 343, between Albert-Geoffroy and Lanoraie streets.
The victim was alone in his vehicle, while the exit from the road did not seem recent, according to initial findings.
The driver of the vehicle was rushed to a hospital where he was found dead later that night, according to Hélène St-Pierre of the Sûreté du Québec.
A police officer in collision investigation was dispatched to the scene to analyze the scene protected by a security perimeter, added the SQ.
