A chilling story. John Stamos, leading actor in the American television series The House Partymade dark revelations in his memoirs entitled If You Should Have Told Me, which is scheduled for release on October 24. According to him, his babysitter sexually abused him when he was just a young boy.
In an exclusive interview with the magazine
People, the man who played the role of Jesse Katsopolis for a long time explained at length that writing his book was a revealing process. “It took me writing a book to realize that his alleged actions were inappropriate”he confided. “I defend so much [survivants]. I felt like I remembered it slightly. That memory was always there, but I put it away in the back of my mind like most people do.”

At the time of these traumatic events, John Stamos chose to remain silent, not sharing his burden with anyone, as he claims. “I think I thought, ‘Ah, they’re girls.’, he explained. However, he admits his reaction wasn’t the best, recalling: “It was like you were playing dead to get them to stop. But it wasn’t totally aggressive. I don’t know, it wasn’t right.”
It was while writing a speech for the awarding of a prize for his commitment to abused children that the now 60-year-old actor saw his past resurface. “That’s when it all came out.”he remembers. “And then I said to myself: ‘No, tonight is not for me. It’s for the kids. I’m going to put it away until the right time’.” A moment that seems to have finally arrived…
