Sporstnet network reporter Peter Galindo reported on Saturday that Waterman’s profile would be all the rage in Germany, Turkey, Austria and Greece

The 26-year-old British Columbian has spent the past three seasons with CF Montreal, but has taken his game up a notch in 2022. Waterman has appeared in 30 Major League Soccer (MLS) games, all starts, and registered three goals and two assists.

Sporting director Olivier Renard had a stroke of genius in recruiting the rear of Cavalry FC, in the Canadian Premier League. Given his progress, he was even invited to the World Cup in Qatar, but was one of seven players who were not used by Canada coach John Herdman.

European clubs have been snapping up CF Montreal players since its historic 2022 season. Midfielder Djordje Mihailovic was recruited by AZ, in the Netherlands, while defender Alistair Johnston joined Glasgow Celtic. Rumors also send the young Ismaël Koné overseas.
