Death toll from Monday’s attacks in Ukraine rises to 43. Ukraine was the target of deadly Russian strikes on Monday, which left 43 dead and some 200 injured, Volodymyr Zelensky announced in his speech in Washington. They notably devastated the country’s largest children’s hospital.
Russia accused at the UN for strikes in Ukraine, described as a “war crime”. Moscow came under heavy criticism on Tuesday at an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council over deadly strikes in Ukraine the previous day. “Intentionally launching attacks against a protected hospital [par le droit international] is a war crime for which the perpetrators must be held accountable,” said UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Joyce Msuya.
