Joe Biden swears notnot [pouvoir] interrupt” the extension of the wall separating the United States from Mexico. The American President assured, Thursday October 5, that he was legally obligated to continue building this border wall. In an official notice, his Minister of Homeland Security announced that a new portion would soon be erected in the Rio Grande Valley.
This minister, Alejandro Mayorkas, spoke of a “acute and immediate need to build physical barriers and roads” near the American borders, in order “to prevent illegal entries”. A measure qualified as “step back” by the Mexican president. When he took office, Joe Biden actually said that a wall also “massive” was not “a serious political solution”. The American president also promised taxpayers that they would not pay more for the construction of this wall on the border with Mexico.
“The money was intended for the border wall. I tried to convince [le Congrès] to allocate the funds to something else, to redirect them. They didn’t want to.”, Joe Biden tried to defend himself. The American president, at the same time, affirmed that it was impossible for him “legally to use this money for something other than what it was intended for”.
