The tone is set. American President Joe Biden accused, Friday January 5, Donald Trump of using the rhetoric of “Nazi Germany”during a campaign speech in Pennsylvania, on the eve of the third anniversary of the assault on the Capitol. “He talks about the blood of Americans being poisoned, using exactly the same language that was used in Nazi Germany”launched the Democratic president.

“Trump and his MAGA supporters (“Make America Great Again”, the Republican billionaire’s flagship slogan) not only condone political violence but they laugh about it”castigated the 81-year-old Democrat. “Donald Trump’s campaign is obsessed with the past, not the future. He is willing to sacrifice our democracy in order to gain power”also criticized the Democratic president who wants to give a boost to his campaign for 2024. A Trump spokesperson, Steven Cheung, immediately responded that Biden was “the real threat to democracy”.

The president was scheduled to give his speech on Saturday, three years to the day after the attack on the Capitol on January 6, 2021, by supporters of Donald Trump who tried to prevent the certification of Joe Biden’s victory, but the date was moved forward to Friday due to a storm forecast.
