For their honeymoon, the lovers chose Brazil, and more precisely the island of Chapada Diamantina – Bahia, on which they made a sports stop. On July 13, the couple got married in a romantic ceremony on the beach of Trancoso in Brazil. Engaged since September 2019, the former NBA star and the Brazilian model united in front of their families. Accompanied by their parents, Joakim was able to unite with his wife under the eyes of his father Yannick Noah and his mother Cécilia Rodhe while Lais was led to the altar by her dad José Ribeiro de Oliveira Filho.
