How to protect yourself from the heat wave? This is the question asked by Cyril Hanouna, this Wednesday, June 15 on Do not touch My TV on C8. While heat waves will hit France in the coming days, the host has invited doctor Jimmy Mohamed to give valuable and very important advice for staying in shape during this period which promises to be very hot.
The former columnist TPMP gave five tips to follow:
1) Know how much water to drink
2) Above all, do not drink very cold
3) Drink water at room temperature or very hot water
4) Do not drink alcohol
5) Eat fruits and vegetables rich in water (watermelons, oranges, melons, grapefruits, tomatoes, cucumbers…)
“The lack of hydration promotes the formation of stones in the kidneys, which is called ‘renal colic’. The best treatment is prevention, so drink regularly.”
Know your hydration level thanks to… your urine
On the set of the flagship program of the TNT channel but also on his account instagram, Jimmy Mohamed, revealed a rather amazing trick. Indeed, he recommends observing his own urine because its color gives indications on the state of hydration of his body. It is thus necessary to keep a light colored urine, which indicates that the hydration rate is convincing. Conversely, very dark colored urine is an indicator that your body needs water. “At the moment, I see more and more urinary tract infections, cystitis during this time of year when it’s very hot. When you drink less water, the body is more at risk of urinary tract infections so you have to drink properly because I see more and more women consulting for this problem”, he hammered during his appearance on the talk show, Wednesday, June 15.
