The negative series continues, eleven games in a row without winning – including ten in the league – and the DFCO will pass the truce of the World Cup in 16th place in Ligue 2. Saturday November 12, 2022, Dijon did not succeed to win on the lawn of Grenoble, final score 0-0
. Regular starter last season (fifth most used outfield player, 31 games played including only three as a substitute), midfielder Jessy Pi experienced his first start in Ligue 2 at the Stade des Alpes of the season, thanks to the injuries and suspensions of his teammates. The former Caennais, who arrived in the summer of 2021, author of a solid performance in Grenoble, stopped at the microphone of France Bleu Bourgogne after the match.
You have the match point with a big chance for Walid Nassi at the end, are there any regrets coming out of this meeting?
Yes, we have some regrets, of course. This is the season that is like that. I think we could have won, but they too had their hot momentsin particular on the judgment of Sat’ (the goalkeeper, Saturn Allagbé, Editor’s note). I think we had the upper hand a little more, but that’s how it is, 0-0, we’ll have to keep working.
The problem with this result is that the truce opens with this series of matches without winning which is not stopped…
That’s the problem, but we know that in football things go fast, things go well. Ten games, it’s starting to do a lot. It is up to us to find solutions.
To be a starter for the first time this season, necessarily, is it a satisfaction?
It does a lot of good. Morale, legs, a bit of everything, it’s good to play again. Physically, it’s not easy. I said to myself in my head: “I must not let go”. Since the start, I haven’t played, but the other players and the staff will be able to tell you, in training I haven’t given up. I continue to work, to make the effort, to give myself, so as not to regret anything.
It wasn’t necessarily easy, but I was able to do the 90 minutes. I don’t think I saw a big drop in diet on my part. The work done beforehand and from the shadows walked, I had played with the reserve (N3) last week, I had also played in the Coupe de France, which allows me to keep up the pace a bit.
The DFCO have not won for 11 games in all competitions. Does the group still support Omar Daf?
For me, yes. I don’t see a drop, we’ve seen it again, the players fought, stripped each other. Even me, who doesn’t play, I don’t think I betrayed the coach tonight. For my part, I can’t find a drop in the diet behind the coach.
