Ultra-Orthodox people in Jerusalem clash with police as they demonstrate against conscription into the army. Since 1948, they have been exempt from military service if they study in government-recognized Jewish schools, or yeshivas, but the Supreme Court is asking the government to end this exemption by the end of March.
