Jérémy Gabriel drops his civil lawsuit against comedian Mike Ward. He announced it in The Journal of Quebec THURSDAY.
The Quebec daily reports that the young man says he wants to move on, after 13 years of a legal saga that led him to the Supreme Court. The case addressed issues such as discrimination and defamation.
The young man says he was a child, aged 13, when he was targeted by the comedian in one of his shows. Aged 26 today, he explains that he has had enough and no longer wants to talk about this story.
In the same breath, he says he has no regrets about what happened and says he wanted to be heard about what he has been through all these years.
He also assures not to blame Mike Ward and not to oppose the freedom of expression of comedians.
