Jeremstar: Hundreds of thousands of euros spent, he makes life difficult for his attackers

jeremstar is in the spotlight for his latest project. On October 6, 2022, his book was published social media survivor (published by Hugo Doc). A book in which he returns to the accusations of pedophilia of which he was the subject, wrongly. For the occasion, The Parisian met him and looked back on his fight.

It is in particular thanks to social networks that Jérémy Gisclon (his real name) made a name for himself in the world of reality TV a few years ago. He offered interviews as well as scoops on his official accounts. But it is also on this ground that his life has become a real hell. The 35-year-old was cited in a pedophilia case, a complaint dismissed. Very quickly, he was therefore the victim of harassment on social networks. “I have been the victim of campaigns of harassment and denigration of rare violence. I have been accused of being a pedophile, a racist and this has been widely reported by the media. I have condemned all the people who attacked me. But when justice cleared me, there weren’t many people left… And no one to give me the floor“, he was first indignant during his interview with The Parisian.

Jeremstar therefore spoke in his book in order to reveal his descent into hell but also, to denounce the slowness of justice. Four years after the case, proceedings are still ongoing as he confided. A situation that can make victims want to killing himself. “I thought about it myself but I’m a positive person and that kept me going. It was also out of the question for me to kill myself for people who have already killed part of me. But it’s true that I sometimes wondered if a public suicide would not be the most useful to talk about digital harassment“, he confessed.

A lot of money spent

Jeremstar went on to reveal that he has “spent more than 200,000 euros in legal costs to file a complaint against those who [l’avaient] assaulted“.”I won the defamation lawsuit I brought against blogger Aqababe (the originator of what was called the Jeremstar Gate on social media in 2018, in which he was suspected of paedophilia), that for harassment is ongoing. Proof of the violence I experienced, the ‘journalist’ Olivier Porri Santoro was sentenced at first instance to twelve months in prison, including four firm, for having cyberharassed me. It was an exemplary and very strong judgment, but the prison jumped on appeal and we are now in cassation“, he clarified.

Today, even if he fights, Jeremstar is still very touched by this whole affair and the consequences it had. Thus, it still happens to him to sink. “I became an activist and I organize street demonstrations in front of the courts to denounce the slowness of justice. It’s my fight and it keeps me alive“, he concluded.
