Mattea Roach, who grew up in Halifax, currently ranks eighth in the list of competitors who have racked up the longest winning streaks in the history of the famous quiz show.
To move up one spot on this list, the 23-year-old will need another 19 wins to be tied with David Madden and Jason Zuffranieri for seventh place.
Since Monday’s episode, Mme Roach won the 10and highest earning in the show’s regular season history, with a total prize pool of US$352,781.
In his 15 games so far, Mme Roach answered 93% of the questions correctly.
Her streak – the longest held by a Canadian contestant – has already earned her a spot on the show’s “Tournament of Champions”, which is slated to air in the fall.
The champ of Jeopardy! Game show-turned-host Ken Jennings tops that list: he won 74 straight games in 2004.
