For nearly a decade, Star Academy has revealed a tremendous amount of talent and diverse personalities. The walls of the castle of Dammarie-les-Lys have notably seen the birth of Jenifer, Nolwenn Leroy, Élodie Frégé and Grégory Lemarchal. The show also allowed the general public to understand how young artists could make the most of their potential thanks to the advice of personalities in the entertainment world. Some of these professionals have become as well known as the young participants themselves. The faithful of the program probably still remember the sometimes crazy singing lessons of the eccentric Armande Altaï, or the dreaded scenic expression lessons and debriefings of the very demanding Raphaëlle Ricci. The latter was also the big absent from the anniversary evenings which celebrated the twenty years of the program. She explained that she had turned the page and no longer wanted to be associated with the program that made her famous.
Kamel Ouali explains who is the best at dancing
If “Raphi”, as the students called her, was absent, the greatest teachers of the show had made the trip. This is particularly the case of the mythical Kamel Ouali, a real workaholic, who sometimes tortured the bodies of students with his morning stretching sessions. The choreographer is the one who has participated the most seasons. He will have seen all those who have become stars today pass in his dance lessons. And besides, who is according to the best or the best, all seasons combined?
On November 6, Kamel Ouali posted a photo on his Instagram account which he captioned: “The best dancer of all seasons“. And against the odds, it was neither Jenifer nor Nolwenn Leroy that he designated as such but the director Alexia Laroche-Joubert. It must be said that the latter regaled the cameras with her frantic posturing during prime time. swaying hips that earned him this title.
