Jenifer, iconic image of the show which revealed it to the general public, could not miss this great appointment both nostalgic for the oldest and completely innovative for the thirteen candidates freshly cast to participate in the program. Twenty-one years later, the singer made her big comeback this Saturday, October 15 on the Star Ac’ stage to everyone’s delight! And in particular that of Nikos Aliagas who did not lack words to prepare the entry of his artist friend under the intimidated gaze of the young recruits: “We are receiving an exceptional guest, a guest of honor who, like you, is arrived like that and went from shadow to light with many questions. Like you, she didn’t know what it was going to be like, like you, she found the courage to surpass herself, to write her own story. 20 years ago, she arrived at the castle of Dammary-les-Lys and, for the first time, she arrived in front of the lights. More than 20 years later, she hasn’t changed (with the accent of Julio Iglesias, editor’s note), she is still magnificent, she has had a great career… I love her so much! “It was crazy, it was so crazy!”
What an introduction! And Jenifer to appear all in flashy pink from head to toe, accompanied by twirling dancers! Encapsulated in her Valentino dress, the singer also sports platform shoes with oversized heels. She launches her show, a medley of her great hits, starting with an excerpt from “My revolution”, then continuing with the main verses of “Au soleil”, “Give me time”, “J’attends l’amour ”, “Notre idylle” then his last title “Sauve qui amour”… all embedded in a choreography rather… unsuitable for his outfit! And presto, a lift that almost turns tragic, a little dance tour where you can feel the feverish artist, seeming to pray that her steps don’t slip… and better: she hoists herself on a removable column where she pretends to be as natural as possible while surely imagining the drama of a probable fall. And all while singing live of course! Everyone holds their breath! A real “obstacle course” on which Nikos Aliagas did not fail to ironize at the end of his performance… This “little lift” was nice. Combing her hair and catching her breath, Jenifer lets go with a smile of relief: “We had fun!” Finally, all’s well that ends well at Star Ac’! A place dear to the heart of Jenifer who can’t help but remember: “It was crazy, it was so crazy! It’s been a long time but sometimes I feel like it was yesterday.
