Jekyll Wood’s new EP “Smokescreen”

Originally from Poitiers, now in Tours, we present to you Jekyll Wood, a complete artist who started music as a child. Guitar in hand from an early age, he then began to sing and play in several groups. A few years later, for his solo projects, Jekyll Wood surrounded himself with his loopstation, a pedal that allows him to record and layer his loops, which gives the impression that he is not alone on stage. (But yes! He is all alone!) The multi-faceted artist with a name in connection with the Blues Brothers offers us on this “New Scene” to listen to his titles: Thirteen, How much, Just a little more, Not me, Friends don’t lie.

New EP “Smokescreen”, in view of a new album

This EP is the beginning of a journey: 3 EPs are in preparation to then make a beautiful album. “Smokescreen” is a journey on self-questioning, a quest for identity which goes in the continuity of his first album which is entitled “Who you are”. In “Smokescreen”, Jekyll Wood asks a lot of questions, questions that everyone can ask themselves (the Barnum effect as he says!)
Accustomed to being alone on stage, he has, this time, surrounded himself with several musicians to record this EP released at the end of January 2022. Collaborations that he wishes to continue.

Good news! Jekyll Wood will be in concert on Thursday May 5 in Buxerolles, Brossac (16) or even Les Sables d’Olonne (86). Find all his concert dates on his website. To listen without moderation!

Incredible but true, Jekyll Wood is alone on stage! © Radio France
