Jeff Fillion announced on April 14 his departure from Radio X, the station where he has spent most of the past 20 years. The management of RNC Media Inc., which owns the station, and the host had not agreed on the terms of a new contract, prompting the latter to leave.

“I have the privilege of knowing what I’m worth and I deserve to be able to choose the conditions that suit me and that’s what I decided to do,” said Jeff Fillion at the time. He also announced, at this time, the continuation of the daily program he hosts on RadioPirate. org, an internet channel he founded.

The host, at the helm of Fillion at noon since 2016, has sparked controversy on more than one occasion since the early 2000s. The noon show on Radio X will be hosted until the fall start by Yannick Marceau. RNC specifies that no further comments will be issued.
