The former presenter of the 1 p.m. newspaper of TF1 Jean-Pierre Pernaut announced, Monday, November 22, to be suffering from lung cancer, specifying immediately that “everything (was) fine for now”. Jean-Pierre Pernaut, 71, recalled having already been treated for prostate cancer.

“I learned of this disease last May. I underwent a first operation at the beginning of July, a treatment which has continued for a few weeks”, he explained in a video posted to Twitter, confirming a “leak in the media”. “Everything is fine for now. We are watching. Everything is under control”, he added.
“I was waiting a while to talk about it. If I mention it, first I think you shouldn’t be afraid of cancer; I had one: the prostate, you know that. I have it. talked about trying to improve prevention. Same thing for the lung, I thought it only happened to others for years and years “, he clarified.
