This December 17, on TF1, Jean-Pierre Foucault was faithful to the post, for his 27th evening of Miss France. And the host has been the subject of some criticism, exceptional, for an unfortunate sentence, pronounced against the lovely Marine Lorphelin. The young woman, Miss France 2013, then 1st Dauphine of Miss World 2013 and finally a doctor, was a member of the jury, alongside Francis Huster, Clarisse Agbégnénou, Bérengère Krief, Dominique Besnehard, Kendji Girac, Arnaud Ducret. And when he presented it to the public, Jean-Pierre Foucault asked him a question that bothered some…

A few days later, TF1 journalist Thierry Baumann defended his colleague. During a live with LaBeamTV, he opined about the accusations against the 75-year-old TV star: “It’s a false controversy, he’s a great professional”. And to add: “it’s a question of punctuation, but you know, you have to do them for the 2h30 live broadcast”.
“Miss France is independent of its host”
In addition, Thierry Baumann confirmed that Jean-Pierre Foucault would indeed be the host next year, of the next evening of the Misses. However, he recalled: “Miss France is independent of its host” and its future is not “not linked to that of Jean-Pierre Foucault”he concluded.
