At the dawn of his 76th birthday, Jean-Pierre Foucault is still one of the key faces of the PAF. As proof, the star host of TF1 will present one more year the next Miss France competition which will take place on December 16, 2023.
“Every year, some people take great pleasure in asking me this question, as if I were embarrassing them…”, he confided to Paris Match last year when he also clarified that the rumors concerning his replacement, notably by Nikos Aliagas, did not hurt him. “It doesn’t matter much.” he assured.
“No, I am not retiring. One day, for sure, I will leave, but the decision does not belong to those who ask the question”he concluded.

The anger of Jean-Pierre Foucault
But while TF1 clearly does not intend to do without Jean-Pierre Foucault any time soon, the host’s mutual insurance company has decided to end its contract with the septuagenarian.
A real surprise for the latter… “Thank you to the Mutuelle Générale who just fired me after 30 years. Certainly too old! My health problem this winter must have been fatal (not for me fortunately) but for them!”, wrote the host via his x account (formerly Twitter) this Thursday, November 9, 2023. A message to which the mutual insurance company concerned immediately responded: “Hello Jean-Pierre Foucault, we have read your message. We will contact you directly as soon as possible”we can read.
Thanks to the @LaMut_Generale who just fired me after 30 years! Definitely too old! My health problem this winter must have been fatal! (not for me fortunately) but for them
