“We must protect our staff, our travelers, so we are in line with a strong recommendation to wear the mask”, indicates Jean-Pierre Farandou, CEO of the SNCF, Wednesday June 29 on France Inter, concerning the rebound of the Covid-19 epidemic. It invites passengers and SNCF teams to “wear the mask in stations and on trains”.

According to him, “It’s the best way to protect yourself” even if he “there is no obligation”. “We appeal to the civic sense of people and the mutual protection of each other”adds Jean-Pierre Farandou.

FFaced with the resurgence of Covid-19 cases, the Prime Minister, Elisabeth Borne asked, Tuesday June 28, to encourage the wearing of the mask “in crowded places” and “enclosed spaces”, especially “public transport”. The Prime Minister, who brought together by videoconference prefects of departments and directors of regional health agencies, took up several of the recommendations made on Monday by Health Minister Brigitte Bourguignon.
