This Saturday April 30, at 8.30 p.m., meet at the Rex in Sarlat to discover “The Farm Folies” with Jean-Pierre Améris, the director of this comedy. The story of David, a young peasant from Cantal who absolutely must save his farm from bankruptcy. For this, he has a bright idea: he is going to set up a cabaret on the farm. The very first in France! The show will be on stage, but also on the plate with the good local products… he is sure that it can work, even if his family remains skeptical.
A true story, because David Caumette, on his farm in the Tarn, had this idea a few years ago. Jean-Pierre Améris simply came across a report devoted to this crazy adventure and a few weeks later, the magic of cinema operated.
This film evokes the sufferings, the questions of the farmers, but also the hope, and the desire for renewal, all in humor. An adventure interpreted by Alban Ivanov in the role of David, in the company of Bérangère Krief, Sabrina Ouazani, or even Michèle Bernier.
