Jean-Pascal Lacoste slimmed down by 8 kilos: physical change in size, his secret unveiled

The news broke in April: the series Research Section will soon come to an end with the broadcast of a “‘mini season 15’ of two episodes“. To bow out in style, the production of the historical fiction of TF1 is preparing a beautiful endin particular by bringing together all the members who have passed through this special unit of the national gendarmerie. Thus, a large part of the actors of the program have agreed to reprise their role the time of an episode. This is particularly the case of Jean-Pascal Lacoste.

The former candidate of the star Academy reconnected with his character of Luc Irrandonea with undisguised pleasure. “I had no apprehension. I was just very happy and proud to be offered it to me“, he confided in an interview with Leisure TV. He didn’t even hesitate to make a physical transformation for the occasion. “I thought I was gonna get ready, I knew I was gonna have a tank top scene, so I lost 8 kg for the role because I was slightly overweight in just under two months. I had a big physical preparation, muscular side and food“, he explained. Thus, Jean-Pascal Lacoste is proud to say that he was quite ready for the role. “I am very happy to do my job well, I have matured too, I am a little less wanker!“, he estimated.

Recall that Jean-Pascal Lacoste played in Research Section from 2006 to 2013 before being suddenly ousted from the program after seven seasons. He was not the only one at the time since the production decided to upset the entire cast by relocating the filming to the Alpes-Maritimes. “I took it pretty well, I don’t hold a grudge. We do not change a winning team, but there, a decision was made … I’m leaving on a positive note“, assured Jean-Pascal in The Parisian. Eight years later, however, the reunion was no less moving. “Everyone gets along really well. The osmosis of old and new, it works really well on the set, and I think it will be felt in the image. And it’s sincere, even at noon in the canteen, we all laugh a lot“, promised the ex-agitator for Leisure TV.
