Jean-Marie Périer unveils an unpublished photo with Françoise Hardy: “I hope Jacques and Thomas forgive me”

In the 1960s, Françoise Hardy had a short – but intense – love story with the photographer Jean-Marie Périer. A romance that the leading photographer of the yé-yé era obviously never forgot. On Instagram, on August 18, he shared with his subscribers a rare archive photo that he himself did not know until then!

In the caption to his post, he wrote: “Françoise and I engaged in social events in an evening that I do not remember at all. (I hope Jacques and Thomas forgive me these kind of messages, they are simply good memories.) What is great with social networks is that a lot of very caring people are kind enough to send me photos that I have never seen. Françoise tells me that she has also received hundreds over the past fifteen years. The cover photo of my latest book Chronicles of a dilettante was a photo a fan posted of her. Françoise had sent it to me in turn, telling me that she liked it. So I asked her if I could put her on the cover.
