Jean-Marie Bigard raises the question of money to the “Enfoirés” and reveals the existence of a “small emergency supply box” which “was not Coluche’s will”!

Since 1986, the date of the creation of the Restos du Coeur, the question of the money collected by the troupe of the Enfoirés remains a central question. In addition to the rant of Yannick Noah, in 2007, who considered that the artists were too spoiled to come and sing voluntarily, in 2016, Jean-Marie Bigard revealed a major problem, on the airwaves of RTL.

“I didn’t really like this little emergency supply box”

The comedian who has now become a columnist at Cyril Hanouna, had deplored at the time the opacity in the accounting of the Enfoirés. And to explain indeed:I did not agree on two or three things, in particular, for example, keeping money that was not used when it was not Coluche’s will […] Me, this little box of emergency supplies did not please me so much”.

In all, the husband of Lola Marois will have participated in the meeting 4 times, between 1998 and 2001. Since his departure, the collective can of course count on other comedians – we think in particular of Nicolas Canteloup, Michèle Laroque, Élie Semoun and Inès Reg this year – but the controversy over money isn’t quite over…

“Obviously they are absolutely not paid”

Indeed, during the 2019 edition of the Enfoirés, the producer of the show and close to Jean-Jacques Goldman, Anne Marcassus, had been forced to respond to a stubborn rumor. In the columns of 20 Minutes, she said: “I say it again, because I still hear that artists are paid: obviously they are absolutely not paid, and they take ten days of their time”.

As a reminder, between 2021 and 2022, Restos du Coeur represents 125 million euros in resources collected from the public (donations, events, legacies and other donations) to finance 142 million meals distributed by 70,000 regular volunteers and 23,000 occasional volunteers. This year, the Enfoirés find their audience in theaters, who have bought tickets en masse to see the concerts, but they are still counting as much on donations, and on the purchase of the disc of “A motherfucker one day, always“, which will be released in stores on March 4. “We count on you” said Coluche.
